NORTHMAST

The product

Five connected modules, not five separate dashboards.

NORTHMAST is one product with five connected modules. They read from the same data, so profit, stock and advertising never disagree with each other — and every figure states how complete it is before you act on it.

The modules

What each module answers.

  • Profit

    See what you actually earned

Revenue, refunds, cost of goods, advertising cost and your own operating costs combined into one profit view, with every step of the calculation shown.

Labelled contribution margin until all relevant operating costs are entered.
  • Analytics

Reporting you can hand to someone else

Revenue, costs and margin over a period, compared with the previous one. Each figure carries its reliability label, so a number is never quietly presented as final.

  • Inventory

Stock risk next to the profit it affects

Stock levels and replenishment signals sit beside your margin data, so a product running out surfaces while there is still time to act on it.

  • Purchasing

Reorder decisions based on your own data

Reorder proposals derived from actual sales and stock movement rather than memory, with one supplier per product.

Purchase order management and inbound stock tracking are not part of the current version.
  • Signals

A short list of what needs attention

Deviations that matter, each ending in one concrete next step. The dashboard shows at most three at a time, so the list stays something you can finish.

Signals are deterministic rules with a visible explanation. NORTHMAST does not use AI to generate advice.

Data reliability

Every number tells you how far you can trust it.

This is the part most tools leave out. A profit figure built on missing cost data looks exactly like a correct one — until you act on it. NORTHMAST puts the difference on the number itself.

  • Reliable

Every input this figure depends on is present for the selected period. You can act on it without checking anything else first.

  • Incomplete

A required input is missing — an unconnected advertising platform, an unset shipping rate. The figure is shown, together with exactly what is absent from it.

  • Estimated

A value was filled in from a fallback, such as a store average where a product has no cost price. Useful for direction, not for a final decision.

Cockpit readings Example
Contribution margin

€ 18,420.75

Reliable Product costs, shipping rates and ad spend present for this period.

Advertising cost

€ 6,180.40

Incomplete Meta Ads is not connected, so its spend is missing from this figure.

Inventory value

€ 41,905.00

Estimated 17 products have no cost price yet and use the store average.

Example figures. Shopify and advertising data synchronise on a daily schedule, and on demand.

How it works

Four steps, then a daily habit.

  1. Connect your Shopify store

NORTHMAST installs as an embedded Shopify app. It reads your orders, refunds and stock; it never writes to your store data.

  2. Configure costs and advertising connections

Enter product costs, shipping rates and operating costs, and optionally connect Meta Ads and Google Ads. Both connections are independent, and the app works without either of them.

  3. NORTHMAST organises and calculates the data

Synchronisation runs on a daily schedule and can be triggered manually. Amounts in other currencies are converted using published daily exchange rates.

  4. Review the Cockpit and act on what needs attention

Open the Cockpit for the state of the business, check which figures are complete, and work through the signals that came out of them.
